Everyday is a hard work

She already has 91,000km on her tacho meter. Still running pretty okay everyday.

At this age, I have no choice but to go easy on her. So I keep a reasonable speed of 80-90km/h on the road. It was slow but pretty good for maintaining healthly engine performance.

Replace the engine oil and service the drive belt a few days ago. To my surprise the Fuchs engine oil seem to be be fully compatible with the engine. It runs extremely smooth. May be I'll have a chance to hit 100,000km in say around 3 month.

But the rear absorbers are leaking oil now. I'll need to replace it soon. Else, the ride gonna be a little bumpy. i am still looking for a 150cc engine block but not much luck!

What's up bro? I'm thinking of upgrading my current ride (SR150) to nouvo lc. SR is a good scooter. With 110/70-16 tyre and floorboard, it really suit me (180cm tall). I almost bought the nouvo lc, but the seat & the handlebar height was a deal breaker.

Now, running the SR is getting more expensive. Last time the tire cost RM160 a piece (OEM tire). Now, it cost RM225 (Michelin City Grip). The oem tires no longer available in the market.

This is a very informative and interesting blog. I bought a used Nouvo S (2009) for my son yesterday. I'm very conservative and old-fashioned and would have preferred if he had chosen the typical humble "old man, orang kampung" bike of Honda Cub EX and the like. Or maybe Honda Wave like his other brother.

I decided to relent when he managed to buy the Nouvo S 115 cc for RM1.8k at a shop in Bentong. The prices quoted online were all more than RM2k so it looked like a good deal.He rode it from there to Lurah Bilut and said the engine, gear were good. Only needs to change the tyres, engine and gear oils.

I was curious as to why he favours this bike so much and did a search. Your Nouvo is the higher end model, of course, but a lot of the information and tips here are relevant.

I have been using Nouvo LC since 2011 after trading in my LC 135 Extreme Sports. So fat clocked almost 40,000km. Trouble free so far but fuel tank rather small if you wanna travel long distance. Recently did a day trip Taiping - Hatyai. Total distance 550 km..in a day. Scooter no problem... rider exhausted!

Overall, Nouvo LC is a very good scooter. Fuel consumption a bit higher dan equivalent cc kapcai because of its auto transmission. I spent a lot on maintenance because I travel 165km/day.
